Future Block Party / La Fête de l’avenir du quartier

The communities of Overbrook, Vanier and Beechwood Village are in close proximity to each other. Working together with various local community partners, we aim to create a community-oriented and collaborative "pop up event" on Montréal Road, which brings together the neighborhoods to animate an area using creative elements to illustrate what a compete street or “future block” could look like.

On Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 pm, the Overbrook Community Association will host Alain Miguelez, Program Manager, Zoning and Intensification at the City of Ottawa, who will present the "pros and cons" of requesting the City to designate Overbrook as a "mature" community similar to the Glebe and other downtown neighbourhoods.
