Overbrook celebrates Family Day

Overbrook celebrated Family Day with its Annual Winter Carnival on February 15, 2016 from 11 am to 3 pm.

There was lots of free activities for everyone, including: horse drawn sleigh rides, maple syrup taffy pouring, free hot chocolate, games, crafts and prizes.  The event is funded through the City of Ottawa and the Community Development Framework.  It was brought to the neighbourhood through the generous support of Rideau-Rockcliffe Community Resource Centre and the volunteers from the Overbrook Community Association.

Overbrook will celebrated the official grand opening of the SENS RINK at 1 pm.  The Sens Rink provides local kids with access to recreational programs and activities, both in the winter and summer months.  The state-of-the-art outdoor rink promotes physical activity, recreation and social development, along with getting youth more active and engaged.  Both Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson and Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward 13 Councillor Tobi Nussbaum attended the opening.
